On August 2011, Cyprus Airways Catering Services vehicle fleet was reinforced with a brand new refrigerated highloader truck which will assist in maintaining the lowest possible temperatures during meal transportation to aircrafts.

On the 1st of June 2011 Cyprus Airways introduced its new upgraded Business Class Hot Meal service after a presentation held in Catering Services premises to the members of the Cyprus Airways Board of Directors and the Management team.

As from the 29th of November 2010, Cyprus Airways Catering Services were appointed by Private Flight Global Ltd which is a New Zealand based company specialized on VIP flights, as the provider of catering services for the flights they operate from Larnaca International Airport.
• Cyprus Airways Catering Services were awarded with British Airways 2010 Silver Award for outstanding achievement. This is the result of the combination of excellent quality of meals and services provided, the high standard of hygiene control and security levels, and the excellent dispatch process and punctuality.
• Cyprus Airways Catering Services are proud to announce that after a long term process they were awarded with the ISO22000 (Food Safety Management System) from the Cyprus Certification Company.
• Cyprus Airways Catering Services provided the VIP meals of the Cyprus Airways special Pope flight from Larnaca to Rome on the 6th of June 2010. The comments for the quality of the meals offered on the specific flight were excellent.
• Cyprus Airways Catering Services obtained Halal Certification from the Islamic Food and Nutrition Council of America valid till the end of June 2013. With this certificate, the department can provide Halal meals to all potential customers.

As from December 1st of 2010, Cyprus Airways Catering Services and British Airways has renew their contract for the supply of catering services to British Airways flights for another two years till the 30th of November 2012.

Cyprus Airways Catering has undertaken the organization of the reception party of Hermes Airports for 1500 guests for the opening of the new Larnaca International Airport that will take place on the 7th of November 2009. Samples of the items that will be offered at the party were presented to the Hermes Airports representatives at a presentation held at the Catering premises. The Hermes representatives were very satisfied with what was presented to them.

Cyprus Airways Catering was selected by Air India for the supply of catering services to the presidential flight Larnaca-New Delchi on the 1st of November 2009. The department successfully offered high quality meals and other services to the specific flight.

Two big European football clubs (Chelsea and Porto) chose Cyprus Airways Catering for the supply of catering services for their flights from Larnaca to London and Oporto. This shows the high level of quality and specialization that the department can offer to demanding customers who require special dietary meals.

The English military base of Akrotiri selected Cyprus Airways Catering for an order of 4000 ready frozen meals. The meals were delivered on time to the military base premises in Akrotiri. Cyprus Airways Catering is the only food production unit in Cyprus that can provide this number of meals in a short period of time and at very competitive prices.

As from June 2009, Cyprus Airways Catering agreed terms with Etihad Airways for catering supply of their aircraft for the next three years. Etihad Airways is one of the best airlines worldwide.

A presentation of the new Business and Economy Class of Cyprus Airways Hot Breakfasts and Cold Snacks was held.
The participants were impressed by the variety and quality of plates presented and the professional presentation.
The new service will improve the product that Cyprus Airways offers to its passengers.
Effective from 11/02/2009 the catering service for flights to all Greek destinations has been upgraded with a new and improved type of sandwich. In addition flights CY 312/313 and CY 336/337 are served in tray and not in snack boxes. In the near future the service of flights to all other destinations will be changed in order to achieve higher product quality and customer satisfaction.
